Metabolic syndrome is the medical term for a combination of diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. It puts you at greater risk of heart disease, stroke and other conditions affecting blood vessels. There are a very defined group of tests which can identify a persons risk – but this can only work when putting them together as a risk ratio group. Although it was only identified less than 20 years ago, metabolic syndrome is as widespread as pimples and the common cold. Help us reverse the risks and educate the population to this syndrome.
